Launching ads in a new country, from the time zone to the payer.
A new country can mean a new ad account, because on Meta, Google and TikTok the time zone and the currency are set when the account is made and don't move freely after. Then come the language of the ad, the name of who pays, and the market's own rules.

Five platforms, side by side.
| Platform | The account | Rules in the market |
|---|---|---|
| Meta | Changing time zone or currency opens a new ad account and closes the old one. The currency can change once every 60 days, with no balance on the account. | In some countries, Brazil, India and Poland among them, the business country and the currency have to match. Ads targeting the EU need the advertiser and the payer named. |
| Time zone and currency are fixed when the account is made. A new zone or currency means a new account, and copied campaigns arrive without their history. | In verticals with strict targeting limits, Google suggests reaching only people who are in the place, its Presence setting. | |
| TikTok | Time zone, region and currency can't be edited after creation. The markets an account can deliver to depend on the country it was registered in. | An ad group aimed at any EEA country, Switzerland or the UK needs an audience above 1,000, or TikTok won't create it. |
| Snapchat | An agency account aimed at France, or run for a client based there, needs the client's name, address and tax ID on it, plus who pays the invoices. Snap says a missing setting can get the account suspended. | Snapchat wants its pre-approval first for gambling, sweepstakes, medicine, supplements and complex finance, depending on vertical and market. |
| X | X keeps a list of the countries and territories open to self-serve advertisers. | During a sensitive event X can pause ads to or from a place. For finance, crypto and gambling the answer changes from one country to the next. |

On Meta, who pays goes on the ad.
When your targeting includes the European Union, Meta asks you to name the advertiser and the payer of the ad. Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and India are on the same list, where local rules call for it.
Meta's definition is worth reading twice. When the ad set runs from a reseller's business portfolio, the payer is the reseller.
Two of those countries add a step of their own. In Singapore you verify who benefits and who pays before your ads can reach people there, though a business portfolio that's already verified may let you skip it. In Thailand, advertisers who meet Meta's risk criteria get up to 7 days from the notice, global campaigns included, and without verification their ads stop reaching Thailand.
If one of these countries is on your list, say so in the request and we go through what Meta will ask with you.
EU, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, India. Where Meta can ask for advertiser and payer, as listed on 4 November 2026.

The ad crosses the border too.
Write the ad in the market's language, and the landing as well. Google checks whether people understand the language of the creative and of the landing page, and from September 2026 it matches Search ads by the language they're written in, with the campaign language setting gone. X asks for the local language in certain countries.
The rules move with the map. On TikTok, changing an ad group's location sends its ads back to review, and the products TikTok refuses differ from country to country.
On Bigo the creative rules are written region by region, and we brief you on them before the creative is made.
Cutting one ad for each platformHow we open a market with you.
A new country is a new request, with its own time zone. On X and Bigo, your manager looks at your vertical in the new market before anything goes live.
Once the accounts are in, bulk launch puts the same ad sets on the new markets from one grid, and nothing goes live until you've checked the rows.

Ask about a marketBefore you add a country.
Is one ad account enough for several countries?
It can be, since an account can reach several countries. You need another one when the time zone or the currency has to change, or on TikTok when the account's registration country doesn't open the market you want.
Can you open TikTok accounts for any market?
Check with us first. TikTok sets the markets an account can reach from the country it was registered in, so name the market and we say which accounts we can open for it.
Can one TikTok ad group cover several European countries?
Yes, if its audience is above 1,000. At 1,000 or below, TikTok won't create an ad group aimed at the EEA, Switzerland or the UK.
Which of your companies invoices me?
Your country and the way you pay decide that. Both companies and their details are on payment methods.
Pick the country. We check what it asks.
Send the country, the platform and your vertical. You hear what changes on the account and in the market before you top up.
