Snapchat gambling ads, approved by Snap, applied for by you.

To run gambling ads on Snapchat you send Snap's Gambling Ad Review Form yourself, agree to its Gaming and Gambling Terms, show a licence for every country you target and wait for written approval. Gambling affiliates can run only in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

What Snap needs before your first gambling ad.

Before the first ad
  1. Proof of a current licence or registration, for each country
  2. Snap's Gambling Ad Review Form
  3. Snap's Gaming and Gambling Terms, agreed
  4. Written approval from Snap

Snap approves the advertiser before any ad runs, and its policy lists agencies among the third parties it won't take the form from. So the approval is yours, and so is the form.

Snap's definition reaches well past casinos. It covers online and brick-and-mortar casinos, lotteries, daily fantasy sports, sweepstakes, gambling affiliates, and any game that asks people to pay to play games of chance for prizes with real-world value.

Approved or not, the ads still can't target a territory you aren't authorised to operate in, appeal to people under the gambling age there, glorify gambling or push anyone to play beyond their means.

Affiliates get four countries.

Snap's affiliate list is the shortest of its four. It holds Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States, nothing else. Online gambling runs in 43 countries and lotteries in 59, and an affiliate still stays inside those four.

The ad account lives in our Snapchat organization, with a role on it for you. The licence, the form, the terms and the approval stay with you, the advertiser.

Before the form goes out.

Can you send Snap's gambling form for us?

No. Snap's policy names agencies among the third parties it won't accept the form from. You send it, after we've gone through it with you.

Can I run lottery ads where online gambling is closed?

On Snap's lists, yes, in 17 countries, Italy, Israel and India among them. You still show Snap a licence or registration for each one.

Do sweepstakes count as gambling on Snapchat?

Snap writes sweepstakes into its Gaming and Gambling Services definition, so the same four steps apply. Our sweepstakes page sets the prize offer and the sweeps casino apart.

Is targeting 18+ enough?

Not by itself. Snap wants the ad kept away from anyone under the legal gambling age of the territory where it runs, and Snapchat itself is open from 13. Set the age to the gambling age of each country you target.

How long does Snap take to approve?

Snap's policy page gives no time for it, and we have no count of our own to offer instead.

What gets an approved advertiser's ad rejected anyway?

Snap reviews every ad and the landing behind it. It turns down landings that are low quality, disruptive, irrelevant or unsafe, and it can ask for the licence behind any ad.

Send the licences and the countries and we'll go through Snap's form with you.

Snap makes the call. You send it a form we've read line by line.
