Gambling affiliate ads run on someone else's licence.
A gambling affiliate can advertise only where the platform lists affiliates for that country, and only for brands licensed there. Google lists them in 16 of its 60 country entries and Snapchat in four countries. TikTok rules out affiliate sites in the US, Canada and Belarus.

Where each platform lets an affiliate run.
Each row is the platform's own rule, with the day we read it. The country decides before the offer does, so read your geo first.

Google's map for affiliates is far smaller than its map for operators.
Google opens online gambling in 60 country entries. Affiliate and comparison sites appear in 16 of them. Germany, Spain, Canada and Australia take licensed operators and leave the affiliate line out, and where that line is missing Google says the content may not be advertised.
Four of the 16 add a condition of their own. Romania asks aggregators for a Class 2 licence, Greece and Ukraine want operators and advertising agencies authorised, and Kenya wants a letter of no objection.

The operator answers for your traffic.
Regulators hold the operator responsible for what an affiliate publishes, so their rules reach you through the contract you sign.
Great Britain.
The Gambling Commission makes operators answer for the third parties they contract, and their contracts must let them end the deal with an affiliate who breaches an advertising code. The CAP Code's gambling rules name affiliate marketers, and the industry code asks for affiliate ads marked #ad. Operators are expected to drop an affiliate who doesn't comply, preferably at the first strike.
Ontario.
An operator's affiliates can't also market sites that take bets from Ontario without an AGCO registration.
Google.
If it's unclear how you relate to the licensee, Google asks for documents that tie the advertiser, the gambling company and the domain together. Google's March 2026 update repeats that the domain has to be owned by the advertiser and related to gambling, and that a site on free hosting, or on a subdomain that belongs to another platform, can't be certified.

Before the first click.
Do I need a gambling licence of my own?
Google doesn't ask for one where local law doesn't. You then link only to brands licensed in that country and say so in the footer. Some countries do want paper from you, such as a Class 2 licence for aggregators in Romania. On Meta you apply with the operator's licence.
Can I send UK traffic to an offshore brand?
Not on Google. Its UK entry takes only brands on the Gambling Commission's register with a valid operating licence number. An affiliate may promote those and no others.
Can I run social casino traffic as an affiliate?
Not on Google. Its social casino rules don't allow aggregators or affiliates at all.
Does the same funnel work in Canada?
Not on Google, whose Canada entry has no affiliate line, and not on TikTok. Snapchat lists Canada for affiliates. The provincial rules come on top, and our Ontario page has them.
What about prediction markets?
Google's prediction markets rule turns away affiliate and broker review sites, and signal sellers too. The full rule is on our prediction markets page.
What does it cost?
On Meta, Google, X and Bigo, your rate depends on vertical and volume. One message in chat gets you the number. The bands for iGaming on TikTok and Snapchat sit on the iGaming page.
Send the brands and the geos, and we'll mark the dead ends.
