GITEX Global has run in Dubai since 1981.
Its European edition was signed in Dubai in October 2023, between the organiser KAOUN International and Messe Berlin, with the Berlin senator for the economy on stage.
A first try at a European tech fair.
More than 21,000 visitors, 755 start-ups and delegations from more than 125 countries.
A year later Computerwoche measured it against CeBIT, the giant that closed in 2018, and called the first edition a respectable start.
